Weaving studio, Minneapolis

Designer and weaver Kelly Marshall has imagined a fine combination of color blends, geometric patterns and Rep weave structure to express her artistic vision. Located in the Northrup King Building in the heart of the Minneapolis arts district, the weaving studio is run by a close-knit team who can solely handle the whole production process, from winding the warp on the warping reel to threading the loom before the actual weaving. A sturdy Swedish floor loom and compu-dobby looms share the same room, cleverly bringing together the best of traditional hand weaving and 21st century state of the art technology.
